recreational program

Dance changes everything.

Whether your child dreams of performing on stage or simply loves to move, our Recreational Dance Program provides a welcoming environment where dancers can build confidence, learn new skills, make lasting friendships, and discover a lifelong love of dance.

At Studio C, we believe that every dancer deserves quality instruction, regardless of how many classes they take each week. Our experienced instructors create classes that balance fun, creativity, and encouragement with safe, progressive technical training, helping every dancer reach their individual potential.

A program for every dancer

Our Recreational Program offers classes in:

  • Ballet

  • Jazz

  • Tap

  • Lyrical

  • Musical Theatre

  • Acro

Whether your dancer chooses one class or several, every class is designed to develop flexibility, coordination, musicality, technique, confidence, and performance skills while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

How our recreational program works

  • Classes are 45 minutes in length and meet once each week.

  • Classes begin in September and continue until the end of May.

  • Students are placed according to both age and ability to encourage confidence and long-term success.

  • Many recreational dancers choose to participate in multiple dance styles throughout the week.

The studio experience

The dance season concludes with our Annual Year-End Recital at Aultsville Theatre, where every recreational dancer has the opportunity to perform on stage for family and friends.

All recreational dancers receive custom-made, professionally fitted costumes, which are included in tuition fees and distributed during Picture Week each spring.

Why families choose Studio C

For more than 35 years, Studio C has provided a welcoming environment where dancers are encouraged to grow—not only as dancers, but as confident, resilient young people.

Whether your child dances once a week for fun or discovers a lifelong passion for dance, our goal is the same: to help every dancer feel challenged, supported, and excited to come to class each week.
