Junior program (ages 5-8)
Building strong foundations
The Junior Program is where young dancers begin building the technical foundation that will support their dance training for years to come. Whether your child is just beginning their dance journey or continuing after KinderDance, our Junior classes combine quality instruction with a positive, encouraging atmosphere where dancers can grow in confidence while learning proper dance technique.
At Studio C, every dancer benefits from experienced instructors, age-appropriate instruction, and a curriculum designed to help students develop safely and successfully. Throughout the year, dancers improve coordination, flexibility, strength, musicality, posture, and performance skills while developing friendships and a lifelong love of dance.
Like all of our recreational programs, classes begin in September and continue through May, culminating in our Annual Year-End Recital at Aultsville Theatre, where every dancer has the opportunity to perform on stage.

Combination class
Our Combination Class introduces dancers ages 5–8 to the core disciplines of Jazz and Tap in one fun, well-rounded class.
By experiencing multiple dance styles each week, students develop strong foundational dance skills while discovering the styles they enjoy most. Combination classes are ideal for beginners and provide an excellent transition from our KinderDance program into more structured dance training.

Junior Ballet
Our Junior Ballet program introduces dancers to the timeless foundations of Classical Ballet through safe, progressive instruction.
Beginning with posture, alignment, turnout, musicality, and graceful movement, students gradually build the strength, flexibility, and body awareness that form the basis of all dance styles.
As dancers progress through Ballet 1, they begin working at the barre, exploring centre floor exercises, and developing the control and technique needed for future ballet training.

Junior Acro

Our Junior Acro program follows a carefully structured progression that emphasizes proper technique, body awareness, strength, and flexibility before introducing more advanced skills.
Rather than rushing students toward difficult tricks, we focus on building the physical foundations that allow dancers to perform safely and confidently as they progress through each level.
Students will begin their AcroDance journey in either Pre-Junior (ages 5-6) or Junior 1 (ages 7+), depending on their age and developmental stage. From there, dancers progress through the Junior levels as they develop their strength, flexibility, technique, and acrobatic skills. Placement into Junior 2 and beyond is skill-based, allowing each dancer to work at a level that is appropriate for their individual abilities and experience. This approach helps ensure that students are challenged while continuing to build their skills safely and confidently.
