Studio C's Competitive Program is designed for dancers who are passionate about dance and are ready to take the next step in their training. Through additional classes, rehearsals, and performance opportunities, dancers develop stronger technique, greater confidence, and lasting friendships while experiencing the excitement of competitive dance.
Our Competitive Program is an invitation-based program for dancers who demonstrate the readiness, commitment, and technical foundation required for competitive training. As dancers progress through the program, expectations increase both inside and outside the classroom, creating an environment where hard work, teamwork, and personal growth go hand in hand.
More than competition
At Studio C, competition is not the goal—it's the opportunity.
The greatest growth doesn't happen during the few minutes a dancer spends on stage. It happens during the months of training beforehand: learning new skills, applying corrections, supporting teammates, overcoming challenges, and developing the confidence that comes from consistent effort.
Whether a dancer dreams of pursuing dance professionally or simply wants to experience the excitement of performing with a dedicated team, our goal remains the same: to help every dancer become the best version of themselves.
A commitment to growth
Competitive dance requires a significant commitment of time, effort, and teamwork. Dancers are expected to attend classes consistently, practise independently at home, apply corrections, support their teammates, and approach every rehearsal with focus, respect, and a positive attitude. In return, they receive increased performance opportunities, individualized technical feedback, continued technical growth, and the excitement of competition, while building the lasting friendships that come from working toward shared goals.
Competition Season
Each season, our Competitive Team attends two regional competitions, typically held in locations such as Ottawa, Gatineau, or elsewhere in Ontario and Québec. These events give dancers the opportunity to perform for experienced adjudicators, receive valuable feedback, and in some cases earn scholarships or special awards.
While we celebrate these accomplishments, we believe the true value of competitive dance extends far beyond scores and trophies. The confidence, resilience, friendships, and work ethic developed throughout the season are achievements that remain long after the competitions have ended.

Competitive Program Invitations
Studio C's Competitive Program is invitation-based, with opportunities for dancers to join our Mini, Junior, Intermediate, and Teen teams as they demonstrate the readiness, commitment, and technical foundation required for competitive training. Families who are new to Studio C, or who are interested in learning more about our Competitive Program, are always welcome to contact us. We'd be happy to discuss your dancer's previous experience and help determine the best pathway into our program.
