mini competitive
(Ages 6-8)
Where the journey begins.
For many dancers, the Mini Program is their first introduction to the excitement of competitive dance It's where dancers begin developing stronger dance technique while discovering what it means to be part of a team. Through rehearsals, competitions, performances, and shared experiences, Mini dancers build confidence, develop friendships, and discover the rewards that come from working toward common goals.
At Studio C, our Mini Program provides a supportive environment where dancers are challenged appropriately while continuing to enjoy the fun, creativity, and excitement that first made them fall in love with dance.

Building strong foundations
The Mini years are about much more than learning choreography.
Dancers begin developing the habits that will support them throughout their competitive journey: listening carefully, applying corrections, learning choreography, supporting teammates, performing with confidence, and taking pride in consistent effort.
Alongside these important life skills, dancers continue building strong technical foundations through age-appropriate training designed to prepare them for the increasing expectations of the Junior Competitive Program.

Performance opportunities
After months of rehearsals and preparation, Mini dancers experience the excitement of performing both at our Annual Recital and at two regional dance competitions each season.
Competition provides dancers with valuable performance experience, opportunities to receive feedback from professional adjudicators, and unforgettable memories shared with teammates, families, and instructors.
Classes and training
Mini dancers participate in a carefully designed training schedule that introduces them to the expectations of competitive dance while allowing them to continue developing strong technical foundations. Throughout the season, dancers attend both technique classes and team rehearsals, giving them the opportunity to build skills, confidence, and performance experience in a supportive environment.
