Instructor

Lauren grew up dancing at Studio C, beginning her training at the age of three and competing as a member of the Studio C Competitive Team until graduating from high school. As a competitive dancer, she earned numerous Overall and Judges’ Special Awards for both her solo and group performances. Lauren also spent many years as a Studio C Class Assistant, developing her early teaching experience while working with dancers throughout the studio.

 

After graduating, Lauren remained closely connected to Studio C as a consistent occasional instructor. Over the years, she has stepped into more substantial teaching roles when needed, including taking responsibility for classes during extended instructor absences. Lauren has now joined our regular teaching faculty, working with dancers in both our Recreational and Competitive programs, including our Junior and Intermediate Competitive Teams.

 

Lauren is a graduate of Queen’s University, where she earned her BA Honours in History & French. Her experience working with children and young people extends beyond the dance studio. As a teenager, Lauren worked as a Park Program Leader before progressing to a supervisory role overseeing the program's team of leaders. She currently works as an Arts Facilitator with Beyond 21, supporting adults with developmental disabilities through programming designed to encourage independence, skill development, and community involvement.

 

Lauren brings her long history with Studio C, extensive experience as a dancer, and years of experience working with and leading others to her role as an instructor. Having grown from a young Studio C dancer to competitor, Class Assistant, occasional teacher, and now regular faculty member, she continues to be a valued part of the Studio C community.
