Caitlyn Acheson

Instructor

Caitlyn grew up dancing at Studio C, where she trained through the CDTA syllabus, competed for many years as a member of the Studio C Competitive Team, and began developing her teaching experience as a Class Assistant. During her competitive years, Caitlyn earned numerous Overall and Judges’ Special Awards and received a scholarship to train in Los Angeles with the Hollywood Summer Tour, where she worked with industry professionals and had the opportunity to perform in a professional music video.

Caitlyn is a graduate of the Music Theatre Performance program at St. Lawrence College. Since graduating, she has continued to build professional experience both on stage and behind the scenes, working as an Assistant Choreographer on a variety of musical theatre productions. She is also a featured performer and musician at Upper Canada Village, where she works as a historical interpreter.

Caitlyn brings her extensive performance background into the classroom, teaching in both Studio C's Recreational and Competitive programs. Her experience in dance, music, theatre, and professional performance gives her a particularly strong foundation in musicality, stage presence, character, and performance quality. She continues to audition and work professionally in musical theatre while sharing that experience with the next generation of Studio C dancers.
