Alanna began dancing at the age of three and grew up at Studio C, training, competing, assisting, choreographing, and eventually becoming an instructor. As a dancer, she completed both the Advanced Jazz and Tap examinations with the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (CDTA) and now holds Full Licentiate status in both Jazz and Tap. She is a former Miss Elite Stars of Dance title winner and spent two seasons touring with Dance Caravan Convention & Competition as a Caravan Kid, assisting instructors and working at competitions. Throughout her training, Alanna has had the opportunity to study with dance professionals from across North America.

 

Alanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University. She has been teaching English, Dance, and Leadership at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School since 2005, where her work has extended well beyond the classroom. As a member of the Arts Department, she has choreographed numerous musical productions and arts showcases and has created performance opportunities for students with a wide range of experience levels. Her extensive work in education and student leadership continues to shape her approach to teaching dancers of all ages.

 

As a dance teacher and choreographer, Alanna is committed to developing dancers who are both technically strong and confident performers. Her competitive students have earned platinum awards, overall high scores, scholarships, and judges’ special awards. She continues her own professional development through regular workshops and training, bringing new ideas and approaches back to her students.

 

Today, Alanna co-owns Studio C alongside her mother, Candy, committed to the school and community in which she grew up. She teaches Recreational Ballet as well as Competitive classes across multiple dance styles and remains actively involved in the training, choreography, and development of Studio C dancers.
