Mia stirling
Instructor
Mia grew up dancing at Studio C, beginning her training at the age of three and competing as a member of the Studio C Competitive Team until graduating from high school. During her years as a dancer, she earned recognition as both a soloist and group performer and completed student examinations in Jazz and Tap through the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (CDTA).
Mia spent many years as a Studio C Class Assistant, working with dancers across different ages and levels and developing her early experience in dance instruction. After graduating, she remained connected to the studio as an occasional instructor before joining our regular teaching faculty. Mia now teaches in both our Recreational and Competitive programs, including our Junior and Intermediate Competitive Teams.
Mia is a CDTA Affiliate and continues to develop her skills and qualifications as a dance educator through the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association.
In 2025, Mia returned to the stage as a competitor in Dancing with the CCH Stars, a major fundraiser in support of Cornwall Community Hospital. Performing alongside fellow Studio C alumna Amber Beaulieu, Mia placed third overall and received high praise from the judges for her dance technique and performance. The experience provided another opportunity for Mia to bring her years of dance training to the stage while supporting the hospital and her local community.
Outside the studio, Mia earned her diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the Canadian National Institute of Health and works as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Cornwall Community Hospital. She continues to balance her professional career with her role at Studio C, bringing her long history as a Studio C dancer full circle as a member of our teaching faculty.
